Crop Circle are a chain of shops across the UK that only source products within a 30 mile radius of each store location. Their aim is to promote local farming produce and to celebrate local artisanal producers.
Unlike larger supermarket chains, each store offers a different range of products to each other depending on their location, telling the stories of their local producers to the wider community.
The Brand
The Crop Circle brand encapsulates their mission to bring locally sourced products from a 30 mile radius of each shop. The brief required the use of a circle to represent the local area each store covers, I turned this into a stylised orange to reflect the fresh produce they sell.
They also wanted a clean, bold style for maximum impact on the high street usually dominated by larger chain stores. Bebas Neue was used because of its soft bold lettering, whilst delivering a somewhat rustic appearance to reflect the rural nature of farming communities.
The brand is emboldened through the use of orange as it’s core colour.
